As a former Band Councillor and Chief of the Burns Lake Indian Band for 18 years, Wes brings a deep knowledge and a wealth of professional and financial experience in First Nations business, leadership and governance; as well as resource and economic development expertise. Wes was the original founder of NATIONS, spending the last 5 years working on a model that would best benefit Indigenous Peoples in terms of health and prosperity. His leadership, political and business development experience includes 3 years as a Municipal Councillor and acting Mayor of the town of Burns Lake. Most recently, Wes brought together 6 different nations in the Lakes District to facilitate negotiations for the development of a “sustainable community” model; among other industrial initiatives.

Marc has spent the last 27 years working with Indigenous business, people and First Nation communities in the capacity of developing and implementing health, wellness and economic plans for prosperity, as well as fundraising. Marc has spent the last 27 years working with Indigenous business, people and First Nation communities in the capacity of developing and implementing health, wellness and economic plans for prosperity, as well as fundraising. He has been involved in developing models for prosperity that address positive health outcomes, in combination with business development initiatives for First Nations across Western Canada. Over the last 5 years, Marc has provided leadership and strategy to building NATIONS by assembling all the necessary components through a truly Indigenous business perspective, process and model.

 Jake has been in the agricultural industry for more than three decades, holding one of the first ACMPR Licenses issued from Health Canada. As an expert in genetics and cultivation, Jake has expanded his knowledge and experience into building design, quality assurance, and optimal growing layout. Jake’s business experience includes being

Jake’s business experience includes being the owner and operator of Stonecutter, a concrete cutting company, and working within the trades and construction industry. Jake brings a hands-on expertise in these areas, and has been instrumental in developing our production model to date. As our master grower and SPIC, Jake’s role in the success of the company is paramount.
